Starting tomorrow Monday, August 8th youth and families can take home a Grab&Go kit at the Information Desk of the MPL for our NASA @ My Library partnership. Learn about the phases of the moon and recreate them with our Oreo cookie mission materials (milk not included).
Join Mayor Gary Christenson for a special storytime on Thursday, September 29, at 10 :30 a.m. The Mayor will read aloud from some fun new picture books and be available to answer any questions that children might have about what a mayor does. This program is recommended for ages 3-5+. Preschool groups are welcome (just call the Children’s Room in advance).
Join the Malden Public Library as we bid farewell to Camp MPL and wind down our Summer Reading season. On Thursday August 11th from 2-4 pm bring your picnic snacks and baskets for an old fashioned community picnic party on the lawn. We will provide the cake and light refreshments, you bring your sandwiches and sides. There will be games, music, prizes, and hopefully a lot of fun with our library friends and neighbors. Youth in grades 3 and Up are invited to get into science at the Malden Library though Pop Bottle Experiments. Join us on August 3rd @ 3PM in the Program Room to get your own copy of the Pop Bottle Science kit and perform some initial experiments in simple STEM lessons.

This week we invite you to Take & Make your own small anime & kawaii coloring bag. Young Adults in the 6th-12th grade are invited to grab a few pages and colored pencils and relax while coloring pages from hit manga “Demon Slayer” also known as ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’
No sign-up is required but these coloring kits are limited so stop by the library starting Monday, July 25th at the information desk to secure your own.
