The Malden Public Library is pleased to offer our “Library of Things.”
Items from the Library of Things are available to loan to adult Malden residents with a library card in good standing. Each item can go out for two weeks at a time, and cannot be renewed. Patrons can borrow a maximum of two items at a time. Holds must be placed one day prior to picking up the item. When borrowing an item for the first time, patrons will be asked to sign a borrower’s agreement and waiver regarding use of items in the Library of Things. To place a hold, pick up an item, or for any questions, please visit or call the information desk.

Donations
We are currently accepting donations for items for our Library of Things! We are looking for items in good condition, durable, not composed of too many pieces that could go missing (no board games or puzzles, sorry!), and not too heavy or bulky (think under 20 pounds, or smaller than a microwave).
Some items we are currently interested in are:
- Home improvement items (ex: small, simple toolbox with tools)
- Cooking items that are easy to clean, and compact in size (ex: cake tins for birthday parties)
- Crafting supplies (ex: yarn winder)
- Bike supplies (ex: bike lock, bike repair kit)
We may expand to larger items at some point, but currently we’re starting small and building from there. Before bringing your item in for donation, please do call or email ahead, to ensure that we have a use for it, and do not already have a version of that item on the way. You can call (781) 324-0218 and ask for Katie, or email kwalsh@maldenpubliclibrary.org.
Thank you for your support!
