Let’s Talk About A Poem with Lloyd Schwartz

Our January program will feature two poems: Sonnet 23 : Methought I Saw My Late Espouse Saint by John Milton and Surprised by Joy by William Wordsworth.

Lloyd will be reading the poems then leading the discussion for this online event.  Registration is required.

Introduction to Zentangle, January 4th @6pm

Are you looking for an opportunity to start the new year with some mindful drawing?  The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.  Lori Champine, a certified Zentangle instructor will be leading an introductory class on Thursday January 4th from 6pm -8pm.  The class is limited to 20 participants and all supplies will be provided.

This program is geared for those 14 years and older.

Do You Have MassHealth? MVES Will Be At The Library Thursday, Dec. 14th: 2-4pm

New Time: Do you have questions about renewing MassHealth? Mystic Valley Elder Services will be at the Malden Public Library on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 2-4pm to answer your questions. If you have MassHealth, you will need to renew your coverage this year. Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) will be at the Malden Public Library over the next few months to discuss how to renew your health benefits through MassHealth. No appointment necessary.
The Library will also have some MassHealth renewal information flyers available in other languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Portuguese, and Haitian-Creole.

Young Adult Holiday Cookie Party

Young Adults in the 6th through 12th Grade are invited to an afternoon of games and cookie decorating on Thursday, December 21st from 3:00 – 4:30.

We will be decorating holiday cookies to give to loved ones enjoying snacks and treats ourselves in the Program Room of the MPL. No sign-up is needed but supplies and time are limited so come and relax with us when you get out of school Thursday

Need that Last Minute Gift for that special someone or yourself?  Or just want to get in the holiday spirit.  Join us on Monday, December 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for a free holiday program.  Enjoy the Library’s amazing art collection and make your own hand-crafted ceramic tree ornament or holiday-themed coaster.
No registration needed, just drop by and enjoy some relaxation time this holiday season.
