Malden Public Library is officially a NASA@ My Library partner!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Malden Public Library has been selected to be part of NASA@ My Library, a nationwide science-technology programming initiative.

Get ready for some STEAM and NASA programs, everyone! This program is focused on getting the youth into STEAM programs related to space, but we will have live and online events for patrons of all ages!

Young Adult Anime Afternoon, Friday, August 20th @3PM

Young Adults in the 5th through 12th grade are invited to join the zoom call and experience a new animated Anime show this Friday, August 20th @3PM.

Join the link below to engage in one of the first ever animated shows based on Godzilla! This interesting series just release this year and is both both scientific and science-fiction!

Young Adult Perler Bead Grab & Go on 8/19

Young adults in the 5th through 12th grade come into the library now to pick-up your Perler Bead Grab & GO Craft Bags!

Each bag comes with enough perler beads to make some amazing mini creations, as well as a bead board and some ideas on projects. Supplies of the bags are limited, so we ask that you only take one per household and grab it while you can as it is first come first serve.

At home you will need a hot iron, some wax paper and a flat work surface. Begin the craft and hobby of Perler Beads today with this FREE mini-kit.

Young Adult Yoga Afternoon: Tuesday, August 17th @3:00PM

Young Adults in the 5th through 12th grade are invited to get centered and get stretching at the Malden Public Library. Join us on Tuesday, August 17th from 3:00-4:00 PM on the Lawn of the Library for a free Yoga program hosted by professional youth yoga instructor Katie.

Make sure to wear comfortable stretchy clothing and shoes, mats will be provided. To attend this program please reserve your spot by calling the information desk at the MPL at 781-324-0218 and sign up. Spaces are limited to call now!

Young Adult Grab&Go: Make Your Own Dungeons&Dragons Character!

Young Adults in the 5th through 12th grade get into the game with everything that you will need to make a character in the Tabletop Roleplaying Game “Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition”!

This week’s Grab & Go kit is first come first served behind the information desk at the library. In it you will find dice, character sheets, instructions and a mini to get you started!
