Do you have questions about healthcare? Join us at the Malden Public Library on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 10:00-11:00am for a free community services workshop with Cambridge Health Alliance. CHA Malden Care Center will discuss the variety of services they offer including primary care, acupuncture, diabetes management, family planning, mental health services, nutrition, substance abuse, bone and joint health, and elder services.

Youth in the 4th through 6th grade are invited to attend the LEGO Robotics Club being offered by the YMCA LEGO Robotics team. There are three programs you may attend at the Malden Public Library, and they are on May 10th, May 17th and May 24th 2018 and will be from 4:00 to 5:00 in the Program Room located on the second floor. Each week will be a different theme and you are not required to attend all three programs to join up.
There is no need to sign-up, but it is first come first serve basis, and program participants are not required to bring anything but an interest in Robotics.

Visit the library on Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 a.m. for a Firefighter Story Time. Meet Firefighter Rick Menard, listen to a story, and learn about fire safety and what firefighters do. Guest reader Ted Louis-Jacques of Malden Rising Leaders will also be sharing a book. Ages 3 and up.

Join us for a celebration of Haitian Heritage Month on Thursday May 3, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Come explore Haiti’s rich history, art, food, language, music, and overall culture. On Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m. Tim Depin, Coordinator of Consumer Advocacy & Response Division, Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General will offer a talk on ”Everyday Scams and Identity Theft: How to Avoid Being a Victim.” This is a free workshop that will cover what is identity theft and how to avoid or detect a variety of different mail, phone, and online scams. Young Adults in the 6th through 12th Grade are invited to relax, hang out and snack at our YA Gaming Party in the Maccario Room on April 19th from 3:00 – 4:30. We will have video game and board game, along with some pizza and snacks. Enjoy some Smash Bros and roll some dice as we take some time away from the March weather and enjoy the Malden Public Library.
