Young Adults in the 5th through 12th grade are invited to become Miniature Picasso’s at the library on Tuesday, Dec. 17th from 3:00-4:30. Everyone will have their own art supplies including a miniature easel to make a small painting of your own design. This makes for a great gift or just a fun artistic expression.

Youth and Young Adults that have signed up for our Summer Reading Program are welcome to the library today, Monday August 5th to pick up a NASA @ My Library take home art bag! The August theme for NASA’s Science Place for creating original artwork is about the ASTHROS mission to Antarctica, and you can find out more about it here.
The craft kit includes a small paint brush, watercolors, canvas and eraser, as well as some fun bookmarks, postcards and a sticker from NASA. Paint your masterpiece and submit it to the Science Place website to have your original art featured on the website here.
These take home arts kits are limited to one bag per household, for only 3rd graders through 12th graders only, and you must be signed up for the Summer Reading program in order to take a bag home with you. No other sign-up is required and the kits are first come first serve starting today, so stop by the library when you have a chance and blast off into space.
