Reading is forbidden.  Fireman Guy Montag’s job is to destroy and burn all of the books he finds and to help maintain the totalitarian government’s agenda of promoting censorship and crushing intellectual freedom.  When Montag meets Clarisse, a young schoolteacher, he begins to question everything he’s ever known.

A discussion of this year’s Malden Reads book selection, Fahrenheit 451, will follow the movie. This year Fahrenheit 451 is part of the NEA’s Big Read.  Movie times are approx.  This film is free and open to the public and is accessible.  Not Rated (113 min.)
