Malden Reads is hosting a special tea tasting and one-hour class on Pu-Erh tea, which is the rare and mysterious tea from the Yunnan Province in China that is highlighted in the 2019 Malden Reads book selection, “The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane” by Lisa See.

The event will be held on Wednesday, February 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at MEM Tea in Davis Square, where participants will be treated to different examples of Pu-Erh tea and light refreshments while learning from Suanne Scalise, the MEM tea education director.

The cost for the class is $20 per person, to be paid at MEM Tea at the time of the class. Space is limited, so please email maldenreads@gmail.com to hold your spot. You could also email us to arrange to carpool.

MEM Tea is a specialty tea shop in Davis Square. In business since 1999, they carry over 120 teas. There is parking on street and in nearby parking lots.
