New Young Adult Books

Stop by the Young Adult section of the library and look for the New Books display. If you can’t find any of these titles below feel free to peruse our other new fiction, non-fiction, graphic novel and manga displays. If you have a new book that you would like to suggest that the Library should purchase, talk to the librarian at either the YA or the Information Desk.

Young Adult Converse LEGO Club – Thurs. March 3rd @3:00-5:00

The Converse LEGO Club for Young Adults in the 4th through 12th grade is returning this Thursday, March 3rd from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the Program room. We have challenge builds from advanced sets and Pixel Art, but you can also just come and free-build anything you can imagine with the Library’s expanding LEGO collection.

Converse Lego Club, 1st Thursday of Every Month

The Converse LEGO Club for Young Adults in the 4th through 12th grade is returning to the first Thursdays of each month, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in the Program room. We will have a challenge build for each month, but you can also come and free-build anything you can imagine with the Library’s expanding LEGO collection. Upcoming Dates include:

Origami—February 10th

The Malden Public Library is pleased to be holding another Origami session on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:30–8:30 in our Maccario Room with James Hollis. We will start with some easy hearts (Valentine’s Day is just around the corner) and then go on to Pegasus. Seating is limited (adults only please), so call 781.324.0218 to reserve your space.

Young Adult Movie Afternoon – Thurs, Feb. 25th

Young Adults in the 5th through 12th grade join us this Thursday, February 25th from 3:00 – 5:00 PM for our monthly Movie Afternoon in the Maccario Room. We will be watching a feature film based on the  YA horror books “Goosebumps” by R.L. Stine, and starring Jack Black as the writer himself. We will have snacks and drinks to enjoy with the film so come and sit back, relax & enjoy the film.
