Young children are invited to join us for this special drop-in storytime program on Thursday, September 22, at 10:30 a.m. Malden Firefighter Bill Sullivan will read aloud a picture book and talk about fire safety and what firefighters do. We’ll supply the LEGO bricks, and children can have fun using their imaginations and creating their own LEGO projects on Tuesday, August 9, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Recommended for ages 5-10.
Children will learn about a variety of mammals and reptiles in this hands-on live animal program. Recommended for ages 4-10. Funded by Preotle, Lane & Associates.
This signed story time will be led by ASL interpreter and teaching artist, Arlene Velleman. We will read a picture book, Arlene will interpret in ASL, and then Arlene will teach participants the signs for some of the key words from the story. A question-and-answer session will follow. All ages are welcome; this program is particularly appropriate for ages 4-6+.

Starting tomorrow Monday, August 8th youth and families can take home a Grab&Go kit at the Information Desk of the MPL for our NASA @ My Library partnership. Learn about the phases of the moon and recreate them with our Oreo cookie mission materials (milk not included).
