The Malden Public Library houses the local history and the family histories in the renovated Converse Memorial Building with other special collections. The local history collection includes archive material, historic photographs, historic newspapers, maps, and books by local authors. The rare books room houses the Deloraine Pendre Corey Collection, the John Gardner Collection, and the Pierce / Abraham Lincoln Collection, as well as archive material related to the history of the Malden Public Library and the Converse Memorial Building.
