Library Reopening News – Welcome Back

The Malden Public Library is very, very happy to announce that we have reopened for limited in-person browsing and holds pick up by appointment. Library in-person hours will be Monday thru Saturday 11-1 PM and Wednesdays 4-6 PM.

Do you miss browsing for books in the library? Library visitors can come in and explore our “first floor browsing area” and check out new and popular items, request materials, pick up existing holds, get help at the reference / information desk, use the copier, read the daily newspapers and magazines, pick up tax forms, book a museum discount pass, and applying or renew library cards. At this time there is no access to study or meetings rooms, public computers or in-person programs. As Covid numbers continue to improve more in-person hours and services will be added.

For those still unable to come inside, the Library will continue to provide daily curbside service, virtual programs for children, teens and adults, grab & go crafts, access to 24/7 digital resources and wifi (outside the library), remote printing, and more.  Please continue to return materials using the book drop.

Curbside Hours are : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 10-6, Wednesday from 10-7, and Saturday from 10-2.
