fighter2Uniforms are all around us.  They inspire trust, respect, and sometimes even fear. Uniforms can be used to distinguish a group from the general public on many bases: the type of job, position in society, social ranking, special events, beliefs, and more.  A uniform is not unique but defines “the group’ that wears it.  The fascinating exhibition of uniforms from the collection of the Malden Historical Society will make you think again about what qualifies as a “uniform.”

All the uniforms exhibited are from the of the Malden Historical Society’s collection, so you may find some unexpected treasures and some uniforms may be missing – as the Society is always looking for donations.

Exhibition hours:  Monday 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Gallery Tours:  2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.  Groups by appointment
