READ TO A DOG
In this special literacy program, young readers (Grades 1-4) who need help improving their reading fluency can sign up for a 15-minute slot and read to Pearl, a large golden doodle who is a trained reading-therapy dog. Pearl visits every other Tuesday afternoon, 3:00-4:15 p.m. through early June and will probably visit each Wednesday morning during July and August. Please ask for more details at the Children’s Room desk.
Beginning June 16, register your child for Summer Reading. From June 30 to August 10, readers who read (and pre-readers who are read to) for two hours or more per week will be eligible for a prize each week. (Schedules for the six weeks of free children's programs will be available in late May.)
Please call the Children's Room for more information about these and other FREE programs: 781-388-0803.
