CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS:
Beginning the week of June 21-25, register your child for Summer Reading and receive a reading log. From July 6 to August 15, readers who read (and pre-readers who are read to) for two or more hours per week will be eligible for a prize each week and may attend the special ice cream party.
Summer library programming for children begins July 6. The schedule is now available in the Children's Room. Programs include the following:
- Tuesday, July 6, 3:30 p.m.: Magic by Scott Jameson*
- Mondays: Bubble-Blowing Party (3:00 p.m. on 7/19 and 8/2; Jody Scalise, Comic storyteller (7/12 at 3:00 p.m.); Teddy Bear's Picnic (7/26 at 3:00 p.m.); Make Slime (8/9 at 3:00 p.m.)
- Tuesdays, July 13-Aug. 10: Arts & Crafts (ages 3-6 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.; ages 6-10 at 3:00 p.m.)
- Wednesdays: Kids Dance Party at 3:00 p.m.
- Thursdays: Song & Rhyme Time at 10:30 a.m.
- Fridays: July 9 through August 6, different programs at 10:30 a.m.
- Friday, August 13 at 2:00-3:30 p.m.: Ice Cream Party for Registered Log-Keepers
