Game On! Video Games for Teens on Tuesday, March 9

Join us to play Wii and PS2 video games including Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) and Rock Band from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Maccario Room.

This program is open to all students in grades 5-12.
Socks are required for DDR!

NO registration required – just stop by!

For students in grades 5-12 who like to get involved with the young adult department @ the Malden Public Library.
TAB members do lots of things to help the library:
* Suggest titles of movies and books for the library to purchase!
* Help plan and set up fun teen programs!
* Community service @ the library!

We meet for one Thursday every month at 3:30pm. Free snacks and drinks provided. Come with great ideas and get involved @ YOUR library! We hope you can join us! For questions and a TAB member application, please stop by the Young Adult Room to speak with Miss Collins, the Young Adult Librarian.

Crisis in Haiti

On January 12, 2010, several earthquakes struck the Republic of Haiti. The Boston Public Library has posted information about the earthquakes, relief efforts in Haiti, Boston-based information, and coping with disaster and grief.

Teen Event: Meet the Authors, Daniel & Dina Nayeri! Thursday, Nov. 12 at 3:00pm

Attention all students in grades 6-12:

Join us in the Maccario Room for a fun 45-minute presentation with brother-and-sister team Daniel and Dina Nayeri, co-authors of a new teen novel, Another Faust. They will be coming to the Malden Public Library for a chance to meet and talk with the readers they are writing for - young adults!

After the presentation, we will be selling hardcover copies of Another Faust at the discounted price of $10.19 (cash only please). Plus, Dina and Daniel will be personally signing copies of Another Faust! Refreshments will be provided after the presentation. See you there!
