We are pleased to announce the results of the Teen Poetry Contest. With 71 submissions, it was extremely difficult for the judges to decide on the top three poems. There are so many talented young poets in Malden and the neighboring communities.

1st place: “The Snow” by Ethan Ribeiro-Barbosa (Malden)
2nd place: “Summer” by Naomi Brill (Malden)
3rd place: “My Pet Barnaglee” by John Vernaglia (Medford)

Popular choice: “A Time I Will Remember” by Manual Quesada Nylen (Malden)

All four poems will be printed in a forthcoming issue of The Malden Observer.
