Join us for Malden Reads Movie Night at the Malden Public Library on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 6:00-8:45pm.  We will be showing our second film screening at the library for Malden Reads.  This exceptional documentary highlights the NASA astronauts’ experiences as they travel “In The Shadow of the Moon” for the first time. This film screening is part of the Malden Reads 2016 One City, One Book program featuring “The Martian” by Andy Weir. The film combines archival material from original NASA film footage of man’s walks on the moon, much never before seen, and interviews with surviving astronauts who emerge as eloquent, witty, emotional and human. Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 95% rating and Richard Roeper writes of the film, “A beautiful, exhilarating, and sometimes deeply moving documentary about those long-ago Apollo missions of the late 1960s and early 1970s.” This movie is free and open to the public and is accessible.  Rated PG (110 min.)
