Attention students in grades 5-12:
Join us for a book discussion in the Program Room (2nd Floor - across from the Children’s Room)! We will be reading the young adult novel, “The Blood Confession” by Alisa Libby (who will be speaking at the Malden Public Library on October 21!).
Snacks will be provided.
Please see Miss Collins for a copy to borrow to read BEFORE October 7!
Malden’s Young Adults in grades 5-12 are invited to write an original scary story!
Teens may submit a mystery, suspenseful thriller, dark teen romance, or a humorous Halloween tale!
The top three winners (of gift cards!) will be chosen from each of the following two categories:
Middle School Category : Grades 5-6-7-8
High School Category: Grades 9-10-11-12
All original stories will be published in a bound copy available at the Malden Public Library
as well as on the Malden Public Library’s website. Winners will receive gift cards, a collection of all the stories AND an invitation to read their stories
during the Teen Halloween Party on Wednesday, October 27!

We will be meeting at 3:30 in the Maccario Room. TAB members do lots of great things to help the library:
For students entering grades 6-12 who want to get involved with the Young Adult department @ the Malden Public Library.
* Suggest titles of movies and books for the library to purchase!
* Help plan and set up fun teen programs!
* Community service @ the library!
Free snacks and drinks provided.
Come with great ideas and get involved @ YOUR library!

For questions and a TAB member application, please stop by the Young Adult Room to speak with Miss Collins, the Young Adult Librarian.
Join us to play Wii and PS2 video games including the New Super Marios Bros. (Wii), Just Dance (Wii), Super Smash Brothers Brawl (Wii), Wii Sports, Wii Play, Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) and Rock Band from 3:30 - 5 pm in the Maccario Room.
This program is open to all students in grades 5-12.
Socks are required for DDR!
NO registration required – just stop by!
Join us in the Maccario Room at 3pm for a screening of “Step Up 2: The Streets” - rated PG-13.
Students in grades 6-12 are invited. Bring your friends! Free snacks! See you there!
We will have events, contests and prizes for students in grades 5 and up!
