Movie Night: Wed., Oct. 25th: 6:00-8:00pm

Join us for Movie Night on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, from 6:00-8:00pm.  We will be showing a recent movie based on the screenplay Get Out by Jordan Peele. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams. Bradley Whitford, and Catherine Keener.  The film is directed by Jordan Peele.

A young black man (Kaluuya) meets his white girlfriend’s parents at their estate, only to find out that the situation is much more sinister as the polite ambiance fades into a nightmare.

The Root writes, “[the film] is a refreshing, creepy, stress-filled thriller unafraid to comment on race,” and Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 99% approval rating.  RogerEbert.com writes, “[it] feels fresh and sharp in a way that studio horror movies almost never do.”

This film is free and open to the public and is accessible.  Movie times are approximate.  Please call the Malden Public Library at 781-324-0218 for more information.  Rated R (104 min.)
