Library Closed Saturdays
Starting on Saturday, June 9th the Malden Public Library will be closed on Saturdays. Our summer hours are as follows:
Main Library
Mondays - Wednesdays: 9:00 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Thursdays**: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Thursday Hours begin 6/21)
Fridays: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Children’s Room
Monday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:45 p.m
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:45 p.m
Thursday*-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m
Saturday-Sunday: Closed
**Every Thursday we are closed between 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. for staff development.
Linden Branch
Monday - Friday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Suggestion: It would be really great if the library could provide its patrons with advanced warning of changes in hours by posting them on its website ahead of time. I checked the library’s web page on several occasions to find out when it would be changing to summer hours. This is the first notice that I’ve seen — appearing on the day that the change in hours actually takes effect. Some of your patrons plan their daily lives around the library’s hours in order to pick up and return materials. I was planning a trip to the library on Sat. June 9, but luckily I checked the library homepage before making a wasted trip. Thank you for considering this suggestion in the future.

We are very sorry for the delay in posting the hours. Usually we do try to have this information up at least a week in advance but we were definitely a little too late this time.
I will be updating the regular hours page with this information this afternoon.

You have the hours for Linden Library posted as 11AM -7 AM, I assume you mean 7 PM
